THE CITY
Valras- Beach located in
the mouth of the Orb is 15 km from Béziers, 30 km from Narbonne and 70 km from
km from the Languedoc capital, Montpellier, on the edge of the vineyards and
Canal du Midi. It is the seafront of the Béziers-
Mediterranean. Once a fishing village, the town has kept it scrupulously
traditional features while modernizing and becoming a key
attractive city throughout the year.
Valras-Plage has a population of 4,500 and covers 230
Hectares. Bordered by the river and the sea it offers 2 faces: The right bank,
flirtatious, deploys its fine sand, its sports equipment, its animations, its
businesses, while the wilder left bank tries to evade the
looks behind the highest dunes of the French Mediterranean, in the middle
protected flora and fauna: the orpellières site.
Before being a popular seaside resort,
Valras-Plage is above all a city of well-being, a city of human size
where locals and tourists can find on a reduced perimeter the charm of
tradition, the quality of services and shops and, of course, a 'sea
always restarted."
